Parker Wynn - Interim Assistant Men's Coach

Parker Wynn enters his third season with the Red Raiders and second as the assistant coach when he was promoted to the role on November 28, 2022. 

In 2024, Wynn coached the Red Raiders to key wins over Utah, Tulsa and BYU, while aiding senior Olle Wallin to his second-straight NCAA Individual Championship appearance in singles. Wynn also coached all-conference selections in Wallin (singles), Piotr Pawlak (doubles) and Sebastian Abboud (doubles). In addition, six Red Raiders were named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team while four were selected as ITA Scholar-Athletes. 

In his first season as assistant coach of the Red Raiders, Wynn helped the team to 14 wins with eight of those coming against ranked opponents. Wynn coached Tech to victories over ranked teams such as Alabama, Arizona State, Memphis and Middle Tennessee State. Picking up conference wins against both Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, the Red Raiders earned a No. 3 seed into the Big 12 Tournament, their highest seed at the tournament since 2016.

Wynn helped coach an All-Conference selection in Wallin as he picked up All-Big 12 First Team Singles honors. Freshman Lorenzo Esquici became just the second freshman in program history to be named a position champion and was able to secure the Big 12 title at No. 5 singles. The doubles pairing of Piotr Pawlak and Franco Ribero also claimed the Big 12 Position Champions honor at No. 2 doubles with a 3-1 record at the spot.

After leading the Red Raiders to their 19th overall and fifth-consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament, Wynn also coached Wallin to his debut at the NCAA Singles Championships as he became the first Red Raider to qualify for the NCAA Tournament in singles since 2017 and ended the year ranked No. 57.

Wynn was announced as the Red Raiders' volunteer assistant coach in September 2021 after his stellar tennis career at Texas Tech. During the 2021 season, Wynn helped the Red Raiders to 14 wins on the season and a NCAA Tournament appearance. 

A former standout tennis player for the Red Raiders, Wynn transferred to Texas Tech in 2018 where he made an immediate impact. A three-time ITA Scholar-Athlete, Wynn earned All-America honors in doubles in 2019 when he and teammate Bjorn Thomson qualified for the NCAA Individual Championships. The duo also made a run at the 2018 ITA National Fall Championships, earning a runner-up finish at the tournament and ending the 2019 season ranked No. 10 in the nation.

Wynn has also been named Big 12 Player of the Week three different times between the 2019 and 2020 seasons and acquired All-Big 12 Second Team honors in singles and All-Big 12 First Team accolades in doubles (2019). 

With 29 doubles victories in 2019, Wynn ranks tied for first in program history in single-season doubles wins, while also ranking tied for fifth with 15 wins at the No. 1 singles position in the same year.

A two-time Academic All-Big 12 selection, Wynn graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in Business in 2021.
